DynoMites Incorporated is a climbing club for competition climbers in the Wellington region, New Zealand. The club was founded to encourage rock climbing, mountaineering and allied activities, with an emphasis on sport climbing. The club aims to assist members with preparation for and participation in sport climbing competitions, and general climbing related activities. Competition climbing is a great way to meet other climbers around New Zealand.
Our current climbers range in age from ten years to young adult. Most members participate in local, regional and national sport climbing and bouldering competitions. DynoMites members train at HangDog Climbing Centre in Lower Hutt.
DynoMites Climbing Club:
- Provides members with information on upcoming events.
- In some cases, coordinates payment of competition fees and arrangements for accommodation and transport to competitions.
- Fund raises to help members with the expense of attending competitions.
- Arranges weekly coaching aimed at assisting climbers to prepare for sport climbing competitions, with limited spaces. (HangDog, in Lower Hutt, also offers coaching in its Dynos climbing class, which some members attend, and Fergs, in Wellington, runs various climbing courses.)

Associate membership does not entitle the member to participate in or benefit from ordinary club activities; it only entitles the member to purchase a climbing licence from the Climbing New Zealand. If an associate member wishes to upgrade to full membership later in the year, the $5 already paid will be deducted from the individual or family membership fee due. |
